Can cornell spare a dime for international workers?
With an 11.8 billion dollar endowment and more than 6.8 billion dollars in donor funds coming in every year, the factual answer is yes. The board of trustees has not “deemed it prudent” to use these resources in this way. Yet, they have no qualms with the millions of dollars Cornell has invested in companies producing arms for Israel.

Rather than support international workers as they face unprecedented challenges wrought by the federal administration, Cornell abandons them in their time of need. When Momodou Taal and Amandla Thomas-Johnson had their visas revoked for speaking out against genocide in Palestine, Cornell promptly issued them funding offers that would require them to do them impossible and return to the U.S. to serve as teaching assistants. Cornell does nothing for international workers.
